i'm a good husband

hello people.

lol after that oh-so-romantic love story, now im hogging on my status as a hubby. =P

yeah i actually went to one of aussie's dry-market-which-doesnt-look-like-a market some time back with bee-yoo-tee-foo wenli but perhaps i'll post about that sometime later.

so yeah, today, jim's a modern hubby!
he goes to the city to stock up his vegetables. lol.

queenstreet canopy.

back in malaysia, we have our very own kah-four (however you spell it), giant, jusco, tesco and some-co. they generally produce their own line of daily products that are not only cheaper than other consumer brands, but also generate more profit for them.

mr. somebody bridge.

and yeah, in aussie, we have coles, woolworths (they call em woolies here), crazy clarks and big W. cute names eih? lol coles and woolies are like kah-fours and tescos back in our place.

crazy clarks focuses more to non consumables and they sell really cheap stuffs, some at the extend of sacrificing their quality. i still wonder why mr. clark decided to name his shop crazy. anyways, big W sells just about everything you need, with heaps of discounts too sometimes.

the thing about supermarkets in aussie, they work very very weirdly. a can of tuna will cost around 99 cents one day, aud 1.65 the next day and probably 99 cents again 2 days after. prices in them shops always fluctuate, never stable.

the im-a-husband jim always have to travel around today and tomorrow just to buy the cheapest stuffs at the right time. always. if not ar, THE-wife will scold ma. =P

the green bag down there is called a green bag. duh. lol. they are sold for around 1.00 dollar everywhere. most aussies will bring their own green bags when they shop for goods. good thing is, even though the authorities dont restrict the use of plastic bags, the citizens are environment-friendly enough to not use plastic bags. good ler? i hope malaysians will do the same too!

and while husband-jim was walking around shopping one sunny day, he *spotted* two pretty women.

...

and married them instantaneously.

(hey, im against concubines and polygamies okay?. they are sooo wrong!) ^^'

lol. they are so delicious he cant resist to kiss them day and night together. jim
just melts everytime they dance. >.<

blackcurrant weh! my favourite! 50% fruit some more! aud 2.00 only. whee!

and so, today, husband-jim did a really really husband thingee.
he bought this SUPER lousy thing for 6.00 dollars. freaking 6 dollars weh!

husband ler?

*its been raining for two days already. super cold today!*

true love lasts forever

im so sorry dear.

i know its my bad not to tell people about your existence.
youve been serving me ever so faithfully and unduly for more than two years already.

we were engaged on the 12th of June 2005, fairly pretty a day because i had to explain a lot to daddy before he allowed me to. daddy didnt know about her at all and that made it real hard to talk to him about it. we waited for one whole week till she moved out of her place to mine - the longest one week in my life, longing for her to come everyday.

when she came, my sister actually greeted her before i did because i was on a long vacation. i longed for her smooth skin and perfect curves all the time. i came back and shes all geared up and good to go to our expensive honeymoon. i had to teach her many new things in life, and how she will be a good wife. =) and yeah, she taught me a lot of new things as well, from household chores to romance.

we were the happiest couple in the world. though of course, there were many other hot chics who constantly pop every other day, luring me to marry them. like every other couple, we do have some arguments here and there but theyre none of our faults. i still try my very best to fix them and stay happy together again.

she is the best company in my life, till now, that for everytime when im alone, shes with me, constantly. i love her, for the rest of maybe my life, or till im rich, then ill have to retire her and get myself a hotter chic.

cruel eih? lol =P

people, say hello to my baby. =)
(she has fairly aged. handle with care alright?)

inspires.

soft buttons.

perfect curves.

accessibleness (can see her wrinkles from here lol)

ah youre just so hot on the outside!

my inspiron 6000!
lol. shes running a Pentium Centrino Mobile chip,
clocking 1.60 GHz, 2MB of Cache, FSB of 533 MHz, 2x256 of
533MHz DDR2 SDRAM, and best part of all,
a X300 ATI Mobility Radeon with 64MB DDR memory.

lol yeah its still outdated eih? shes 2 years old mind you. back then shes good stuff weh hehe!
at least she has a proper graphics card compared to most lappies now. =P

the only catch is that shes a little heavy. 4+kg including batteries. lol. but heck it la, at least her batteries last long. 4:00 hours average when im using microsoft office.

all the dells now come in supreme colours weh. so envy of them people. packed with 2GB of RAM somemore. jealous habis! lol.

hehe. though i have loads to write about aussie still, but really want to dedicate this post to my pretty little lappie.

hail dell!

entropies ahoy!

entropy number 1

one stupid day, a stupid boy goes to a stupid shop to buy something that is stupidly created for people who wants to be really stupid and the stupid boy stupidly paid 3 dollars for a stupid yellow sign.

i am so not majoring in materials

good day mate! lol

so today jim's a metallographist.

lol, a pre-matured one. =P im enrolled to this supposingly 4th year/postgraduate subject here, net shape manufacturing and recently we had our first practical thingee.

due to the heck-dont-care-i-hate-materials-engineering behaviour when those oh-so-interesting lecturers in utp were teaching, i dont quite understand what them lecturers here are teaching now. i partly blame my lecturer here as well, a china-ese man who speaks aboriginal australian english with a dash of probably french in his lectures.

*gulps*

"ahmm"

"da pratikls ar uthektik due to da hreat"

australian-french-english me and ill look like this without googles. i bet you too! =P

the particles are eutectic due to the heat. lol.

okay so we had this session where we melted some 2 kg of pure aluminium and some 356 alloy with a canggih noisy machine and poured them moltens into a few moulds of different temperatures. we used an ultrasonic machine that apparently generates extremely high frequency waves to agitate the particles. the temperature went up all the way to freaking 800+ degrees weh!

cold, hot and refined

then, we cut them into pieces so that we can grind them smooth and check their grains, dendrites, etc using wah-super-geng-microscopes. lol. ill come to that later.

ugly but expensive diamond polishers.

we spent like probably 4 hours just to polish the metals sparkle. first we used 6 common sand papers of different roughness and then the 6 and 1 micrometer diamond polishers to get a mirror shine. =)

can check my hair some more. =P

yeap. diamond. those metal freaks cant help falling in love too but invent diamond polishers for their true love. =P

(no offence geh, theyre great!)

the most expensive syringe in the world, with diamond content. lol

and after huff-puff-ing the polishing process, we finally etched the metals with some acidic concoctions to see the microstructures with this BIG guy.

the microscope is not good enough they pop in an extra canon EOS series camera on its head. lol

jim's going microscope frenzy.

this one look like the spiderman octopus villain hor?

old school deep deep ocean divers.

mirco-transformers!

and this one look like hellscream. lol.

they look seriously like transformers autobots eih?

*transform transform*

and finally we get tonnes of these pictures.

yeap, err, 25x magnification with another 0.8x lens magnification.

we magnified those things all the way right up to 100x.

and yeap, finally know where them pictures in the oh-so-interesting-materials textbooks come from.
im so not interested in writing piles of report.

i miss you

*viewer discretion is advised*
hungry people please exit instantaneously

despite your rough skin and sinful coconut content i rather not touch,
i miss you.

despite you being evil-ly mini portioned and little when served,
i miss you.

despite your insides having inches of adipose tissue and being the infinite calori source,
i miss you.

despite you being extremely limited when delicious and super spicy until stomach ache,
i miss you.

for the first time in jim's life he has to plan WHEN to eat curry rice,
and LOOK FORWARD for that very one day to come.
seriously.

lol. please dont mind me and forgive. =P i just miss cheap, available and sinful malaysian food horrendously. these are stuffs i get here. lol. pardon me for pricing them because theyre seriously pricey.

the blogged 12 dollar 'a salt and battery' fish and chips.

the 10 dollar korean restaurant stif fried korean beef rice,

the 6 dollar vietnamese restaurant lamb steak, egg and rice,
and the picture-unavailable 6 dollar miss india lamb vindaloo curry rice.
good stuffs are just so hard to access here.

no wonder i lose approximately 10 kg

...

of fried chicken consumption weekly.
