vir.still.gin?

*sober*

i have a confession to make.

im a solid victim of peer pressure. im guilty. im not a good boy anymore. ive done it before. i cant claim that im clean anymore.

what is happening to me?

i wanted to reserve for... the future.

i cant get over it now.

positive-self-development-stress
dont admire that hot chick bah. listen to my confession first later only admire. :P

10 pm sharp, my friend called and asked. i actually gave it a thought, but i know i shouldnt, i shouldnt at all. but at the end of the day, i went. temptations took over.

i was thinking hard in the room. there was still time to leave. i didnt...

jump out of the ocean like that cow.

okay. enough already bah the drama. ive finally been to a club (or two) and do what some people really like to do, clubbing. lol i know, no hu ha about it at all, but i just want to give it a review bah.

lets put it this way:

overcharged booze, pretty men, sexy ladies, heart thumping music, good bands, lousy bands, dark corners, flashy lights, smelly cigarettes, unimaginable toilets, crowded dance floor, smokey stuffs, drunk lads, empty bottles, oh and did i mention sexy ladies? :P

Xero0138
my totally lousy attempt to mobile-snap a picture in the club.

there are plenty of clubs here in labuan, and my friends brought me to  beyond 2000 and poppin.

one of my friend opened a bottle of jack daniel in beyond, and we enjoyed the band really much. they played really loud music, so loud that when i left the place, my ears had that 'iiinnnnggg' sound for at least 30 minutes.

after the band, we did some club hopping and ended up in poppin (hahah it rhymes). poppin was a lot more crowded than beyond, and we met loads of schlumberger staff there. another friend of mine opened a bottle of chivas there.

Xero0139
poppin's band. another lousy attempt.

yeah i got drunk but lets not go into that okay? :P

okay say bah im conservative ka, or old fashioned but heck, whats with the jumping with a few exposed girls who sing like toads on the stage? (yes im referring to the girls in the picture). whats with breathing other people's cigarette waste and 'other' wastes?

there were plenty of chicken issues as well, but i dont have to talk about them. not interested. ;)

im sorry if youre an avid or pro clubber. maybe its the clubs lah yang different. im just reviewing the clubs i went to bah.

i wouldnt say that i wont visit them again, prolly other places, but definitely with proper company and a decent place to talk and chat with a little booze, i dont mind at all. ;)

so people, im both glad and sad to tell you that

(yeah yeah no hu ha at all)

that ive been clubbing. ;) so count me in okay next time? :P

wait, jim is still a good boy okay? :P

say with me, jim is a good boy!

whee.

8:00 blues

okay what am i doing here in the office 8 at night?

i am blogging, surfing the internet like nobody's business, waiting for my housemates to finish their paperwork, drink my (unlimited :P) cup of vanilla cappuccino, thinking a wee bit about my future, and  tapping to planetshakers. oh and and looking at how frustrated the housemates are sorting papers out. :(

Xero0154
dont judge the book by its cover. the real stuffs behind in the yard.

somehow i think that i wouldnt want to spend the rest of my life doing what my housemates are doing. no im not saying that ill be hired definitely by schlumberger or something. im just saying general field engineers you know, those petroleum stuffs.

Xero0151
this is my philipino housemate, Vir. Hes very nice and blur. really nice. ;)

oh by the way, my housemates are senior field engineers. they can freaking recognize the sea of standard pipes just by touching them literally, freaking experienced, muscular, buff, surprise proof and high time travellers.

Xero0155
"home", for the next 8 months.

yeah its hard to explain now how their lifestyles are and all now. prolly if you want to know more, a rendezvous and a good cup of coffee will do just fine when i get back. ;)

Xero0145see those shackles? yeah theyre that freaking big.

i was telling a senior, working in the same field far far away about how 'unpermanent' the people will be, you know, when youre working in the field because therell be transfers here and there. and the work is nothing but surprises. crazy surprises.

Xero0146UK - Ujana Kewangan, the ONLY big building in labuan.

tomorrow the boss might transfer you faraway, or the next minute, he/she might simply fire your ass because you flunked. but the senior replied:

"i guess it doesnt really matter. when you go to rigs and meet new people, the typical subject will be about the people youve met, your mutual friends throughout your jobs, you know. dont worry, youll grow into the job soonish"

somehow those words comforted me. lol. i dont know why, but it just did. ;)

it really did.

second

greetings people.

im terribly sorry for not posting that often anymore. you know, somehow i feel that even though its just the second week, i can feel that the coming 8 months are going to be quite routine like this. maybe i guess thats what working life is all about you know.

when mom was working, before bedtime, she'd always say this to sis and me:

"the best thing to do is sleep".

lol now i understand what she meant. i mean for me, after a hard, physical and sometimes mental chores at work, id just come back home, cook some dinner, watch a little bit of tv, paperwork and then im off to slumber sleep. lol.

Xero0090cubicles. im sharing tables with the pink bag girl. vacation trainee too.

yeap, i cant actually believe that im sleeping when the clock strikes ten. lol. thats freaking prime time in university man. ;)  everytime when its ten, this i-spray-sleeping-powder-ah gadget will be activated. :P nothing can be done to not feel sleepy. seriously. not even when 20 freaking level 5 police cars and 5 SUVs are pursuing you in NFS Most Wanted. :P

Xero0087basic tools to function properly at work.

im online most of the time during office hours if some of you online peeps noticed. schlumberger works this way, you know. do whatever you want (even play truant) as long as the jobs are done. go online, surf, chat, or what not. they dont even have those conventional punch card systems. just finish your work and do whatever you please, theyll not bother you.

oh by the way, if im not replying your online messages, please dont feel offended. i really want to, you know, but most of the time ill be fooling around working in the yard, hunting for other technicians or specialists to work with.

Xero0082seriously the pressure test bay doors are easily 20 times bigger than our conventional doors. and its thicker than our beds. solid steel. imagine the momentum when its closing.

basically now like i said, work is just get-down-to-the-yard-and-get-arse-kicking-by-asking-for-work. im guessing that my next 8 months will be that as well. you know its ironic how it works. they dont actually assign you to anyone at all. all you have to do is just, get down to the yard, wear your PPEs and what not, and ask this to anyone at all:

"do you need any help?"

and when you ask, therell be plenty of unwanted chores for you to do. so far, ive collected wood planks (apparently its super important on the rig), become a plain kuli, stand and watch like a log (something that i really hate to do), manage the inventories, gossip discuss about stuffs, help dissemble and assemble equipments, pressure test them, put on safety pins, drive a forklift and those 10 storey tall cranes and a lot more.

Xero0134a 5 ringgit lemon tea from the pool shop.

okay okay im so tahi kerbau-ing about the forklift and crane thingee. :P so not.

and on tuesdays and thursdays, we have badminton sessions at night, fully sponsored by the company. we get to use shuttlecocks like lee chong wei, if you understand what i mean. :P

Xero0056fish market parking lot.

i cant post the pictures of the yard here, though i really want to show you people hows it like there. and i promise ill try to snap a good and handsome aiya dont read this part lah i shy lah photo of myself in the super old and ragged coverall. dang. perasan. :P

okay til the next post, i hope all of you are really well and kicking. do drop me an email or something if you guys want to alright?

beh and edrea, have a safe transit and hope everything will be fine there. settle down properly and  be good interns alright? :P

okay, again, a very elaborated post. :P

naggy naggy. isk isk. ta people. ;)

people!

greetings all!

am hijacking (with permission :P) a friend's computer WITH internet so yeah here i am, blogging away. its now lunch time so i get to hang out a little. everything is still fine, thank God. my first day of work (yes right after touchdown) was quite alright. met my manager and got assigned to this senior engineer called tumpal. hes nice and all, but i guess hes busy with his own stuff also lah. didnt get a lot of chance to talk to him. people here are generally very friendly but theyre all always busy.

didnt manage to get my safety equipments yesterday but today im wearing hugh maclean's (some guy in the subsea dept off to somewhere i guess) coverall. my room's alright; airconditioned, astro-ed, and all but no internet. :( and im staying with a few really senior guys (50+ year old super senior married guys) whom i think are really helpful but lol, kind of odd lah. theyre like daddy-s to me already. :P

so i guess thats all for now. hope everyone is doing fine everywhere alright?

take good care and til then, ta. ;)
