internship

or otherwise known as cheap labour supply. :P

so yeah, i guess it's time to break the news.

flight: 2nd of june 2008.

internship period: 2nd june 2008 to 9th january 2009.

destination: Labuan, Wilayah Persekutuan.

yeah wei, i know! freaking far right? dont how lah how in the world, somehow am going to land in that place. huuu.

ive google-map-ed labuan, and i guess the WHOLE city is THIS BIG. THIS BIG. this freaking big wei! ugh. cinema-less, mall-ess (got la but friend said just a few shops inside), and.. small-est. okay, labuan people, dont marah me.

initially around mid-semester i was freaking paranoid eih. didnt have any offers at all when everyone else had. not until 3 weeks before the study week and all of them popped together. huh. like popcorns wei! haha.

first Vitrox technologies came, offering precision machine design. something that i would love to do and theyre paying above average. catch is, penang. i really didnt mind actually, but stalled them until i couldnt anymore and finally decided to reject them.

Agilent came next, offering machine design, penang as well, but somehow i didnt give much thought. somehow. no idea why. perhaps its God moving. ;)

then Bosch called for an interview all the way in kl. high possibility, but the day before the interview, the current company hiring me replied.

then Kencana Petroleum. haih. have no idea at all why they dont have any sense of urgency at all. or prolly for them its just another internship - not important. lol. i called them almost everyday before the study week but nope, they just didnt want to budge, not until ive signed the offer letter. lol.  

ranhill bersekutu is the best. sent me my offer letter all the way home right after mid semester break, and dad had to break the news. huh. seriously cheap labour i tell you, rm 350 per month. but hey its not about the money yeah?

but i guess im doing petroleum at the end of the day. im just grateful lah. pretty good a company, thank God. just far far FAR away from home, and small small town.

and am crossing my fingers that they wont fry me and leave me to dry under the hot sun like freaking 'ham yues'. heard these french people really maximize, squeeze and make sure that every single cent theyre paying you are worth it. scarry huh? lol.

oh and if youre in kl at the moment (i know jo you are!), please do try to get together or something alright? sigh. such short a time. too short. huuu.
