second
greetings people.
im terribly sorry for not posting that often anymore. you know, somehow i feel that even though its just the second week, i can feel that the coming 8 months are going to be quite routine like this. maybe i guess thats what working life is all about you know.
when mom was working, before bedtime, she'd always say this to sis and me:
"the best thing to do is sleep".
lol now i understand what she meant. i mean for me, after a hard, physical and sometimes mental chores at work, id just come back home, cook some dinner, watch a little bit of tv, paperwork and then im off to slumber sleep. lol.
cubicles. im sharing tables with the pink bag girl. vacation trainee too.
yeap, i cant actually believe that im sleeping when the clock strikes ten. lol. thats freaking prime time in university man. ;) everytime when its ten, this i-spray-sleeping-powder-ah gadget will be activated. :P nothing can be done to not feel sleepy. seriously. not even when 20 freaking level 5 police cars and 5 SUVs are pursuing you in NFS Most Wanted. :P
basic tools to function properly at work.
im online most of the time during office hours if some of you online peeps noticed. schlumberger works this way, you know. do whatever you want (even play truant) as long as the jobs are done. go online, surf, chat, or what not. they dont even have those conventional punch card systems. just finish your work and do whatever you please, theyll not bother you.
oh by the way, if im not replying your online messages, please dont feel offended. i really want to, you know, but most of the time ill be fooling around working in the yard, hunting for other technicians or specialists to work with.
seriously the pressure test bay doors are easily 20 times bigger than our conventional doors. and its thicker than our beds. solid steel. imagine the momentum when its closing.
basically now like i said, work is just get-down-to-the-yard-and-get-arse-kicking-by-asking-for-work. im guessing that my next 8 months will be that as well. you know its ironic how it works. they dont actually assign you to anyone at all. all you have to do is just, get down to the yard, wear your PPEs and what not, and ask this to anyone at all:
"do you need any help?"
and when you ask, therell be plenty of unwanted chores for you to do. so far, ive collected wood planks (apparently its super important on the rig), become a plain kuli, stand and watch like a log (something that i really hate to do), manage the inventories, gossip discuss about stuffs, help dissemble and assemble equipments, pressure test them, put on safety pins, drive a forklift and those 10 storey tall cranes and a lot more.
a 5 ringgit lemon tea from the pool shop.
okay okay im so tahi kerbau-ing about the forklift and crane thingee. :P so not.
and on tuesdays and thursdays, we have badminton sessions at night, fully sponsored by the company. we get to use shuttlecocks like lee chong wei, if you understand what i mean. :P
i cant post the pictures of the yard here, though i really want to show you people hows it like there. and i promise ill try to snap a good and handsome aiya dont read this part lah i shy lah photo of myself in the super old and ragged coverall. dang. perasan. :P
okay til the next post, i hope all of you are really well and kicking. do drop me an email or something if you guys want to alright?
beh and edrea, have a safe transit and hope everything will be fine there. settle down properly and be good interns alright? :P
okay, again, a very elaborated post. :P
naggy naggy. isk isk. ta people. ;)
