airport
i can really get used to airport lounges.
free flow beer whee! :P
prolly later on you’ll hear about the arrest of some young (and cute) guy in the news later on for boarding the plane drunk.
guess who visited when i was night shifting?
dumb enough to run into the thread protector (of course with sunflower seeds) haha and be caught.
we made wood fire, circled around it, and dance ritually while grilling this little delicacy. we ate like cave men.
just like that. tastes like mice. it was good. sheer desert joy.
NO, of course i didnt you dungu. showed it to some of my friends, fed that fellow with MORE bread and seeds, and off he went with a bloated stomach instead (i’m serious he or maybe she ate like half a piece of potato bread wannabe and at least 20 seeds.) hungry little thing.
still wondering though, how in the world can these rodents survive here. i know desert snakes eat them, but what do these fellows eat? beetles? and the beetles? sand?
or they’re just counting on kind hearted and cute people like me feeding them all the time when they visit. that’s ice cream i was holding by the way. that dungu dog.
moments when trees are sighted in the desert; priceless. :)
oh btw, those are my two travelling buddies. say yello!
i am quite sure that each arabian fellow milk a cow for breakfast everyday. or maybe 2. or 3. or what the heck 5.
you see, a typical breakfast for men (i’m not sexist i literally have no whatever contact with the other sex here) includes:
arabic bread, cream cheese spread, labneh (a different type of cream cheese), full fat cream cheese pieces, whole milk, long life milk, low fat milk, low fat yoghurt, full cream yoghurt, milk powder, coffee creamer, margerine, butter, cheese slices, milk chocolate, milk chocolate biscuits, chocolate custard, vanilla custard, cream caramel, and cows. okay, not cows for breakfast.
i swear. i am not kidding you.
cow slayers are rich here.
hmm.

paid the big horses a visit; lamborghini, bentley, lotus, and ducati al-khobar.
very, very enlightening.
and helluva surprising too.
a lower end 2010 lamborghini gallardo for 800k saudi riyals which after conversion is (only) rm 680k.
and a ducati superbike for 60k riyals (rm 51k)?
hmm. ;)
sometimes i wonder these people for real or not one lah.
i dont blame them. im working with ONE particular person like this recently.
smart but stupid, stubborn (and big and crazy and inconsiderate) piece of ass.

so i was stuck in the airport for 12 hours because the airlines didnt let me taxi the plane.
somehow their system says that i (a malaysian) dont need a visa to go to yemen but the ambassador raised a sudden alert for everyone to have a visa to enter the country. funniest part, only malaysians were granted visa on arrival before the alert.
something must have happened there.
but anyway, went back to khobar and got a call from another manager from a neighboring department and the next morning im off to another base to another job. a job which i cannot break out from or gain anything for my controls. sigh.
but anyway, so here i am, messy and unorganized in the other base.
rawr.
have better days everyone!
as much as i want to write more, i wish i can stay longer here.
just got back from one of the worst job ever (well, in the few months i turned blue). well didnt flow, tools went cuckoo, the supervisor, but i at least had great company to suffer with.
24 hours in civilization, i’m off to a country south of ksa, a country that was deemed unsafe, or maybe, still is, alone.
what i am hearing is scaring my pants off, but let’s see.
i will tell more when things come.
be okay, everyone.
especially you.
kam dai gor chai dai yat chi mai rice cooker! :d
hanabishi geh ah. mou kai wan xiao.
:O
now let’s just hope someone wont cook weird things with it.
can you believe it? i just got to know today. no wonder the drivers gua gua chow getting SR 6,000 monthly.
a saudi maintenance technician trainee working local gets
JENG JENG JENG
SR 20,000 monthly.
and that is almost equivalent to RM 17,000.
seriously! :O
higher than expats here wei!
leaving home again after an ultra short, exciting and crazy week. pictures later!
next one in december! can’t wait!
congratulations to all graduates! :)
and thank you, all of you for your flowers, pictures, and bear.
cheers!
